PRESS RELEASE: DesignFlo™

KRUEGER'S DesignFlo™ ALLOWS FOR FREEDOM AND FLEXIBILITY IN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

RICHARDSON, Texas (August 4, 2000)
Krueger’s DesignFlo™ is a versatile, high performance, high capacity linear slot diffuser system designed to integrate with any architectural interior.

Designed to work and blend with any ceiling system, DesignFlo™ features an array of frame styles, mounting options and the ability to be curved along any plane producing continuous, flowing runs that blend with the interior space. This allows a great deal of freedom for architects and engineers who prefer the air distribution system reflect the building design rather than restrict it.

The spacer design presents an airfoil profile to the supply air, reducing pressure drop as well as NC levels. The spacers are self-lubricating allowing for easy adjustment of pattern controllers.

DesignFlo™ is available with two types of pattern controllers: horizontal throw (HT) and vertical throw (VT). The horizontal throw pattern controller directs air to the left or right as well as downward when in a ceiling application. These pattern controllers project the air in a tight ceiling pattern with long throws. A unique feature of the HT pattern controller is the fact that it consists of two sliding blades. This offers not only pattern control, but volume control as well, making it an excellent choice for VAV systems.

The VT pattern controllers direct the air stream perpendicular to the diffuser face. In ceiling applications, this is useful where vertical projection is required, such As a perimeter zone with large windows. In a sidewall application, the VT controllers offer long throws.

As an industry leader and innovator in the air distribution industry since 1947, Krueger has excelled in offering a diverse product line in the HVAC industry with a special focus on clean room, industrial and architectural marketplaces. Based out of Richardson, Texas, Krueger is a division of Air System Components (ASC) with five manufacturing locations in four states. Krueger Technology Center, based in Tucson, Arizona, is committed to extensive product testing, development and demonstration of both new technologies and existing, practiced theories of proper air distribution. ASC is a subsidiary of Tomkins Industries plc based out of London, England.
