Excellence in Air Distribution

Our History

Leo Krueger emigrated from Latvia and came to Tucson via Detroit, where he had been trained as a machinist and mechanic. He went to work for one of the largest sheetmetal contractors in the area, designing the tooling for a line of residential grilles for use with evaporative coolers, a regionally new product. Two years later, his employer offered the tooling and equipment, used to make the residential product, for $500, and Leo Krueger began his storied career in a garage on Rellito Street.

Krueger's first foray into the commercial market was the predecessor to today's 800 series grille and register product, introduced in the late 50s. With it, he began to secure contracts in what would still be strong markets for Krueger to this day in Southern California and Washington D.C. Krueger was an aggressive supplier during the rapid government expansion in the 50s.

Krueger's second major commercial product was modeled after a series of louvered designs rapidly growing in popularity. The SH series diffuser was born in the late 50s. Krueger introduced a new line of perforated diffusers in the early 1960s, developed in cooperation with the engineering department at the University of Arizona. During the development of the perforated diffuser, Krueger began establishing credibility through the development of the first test lab and genuine performance data.

Manufacturing & Product Line

Since its inception, Krueger has been dedicated to providing air distribution solutions for the HVAC industry. As an industry leader, we service a dedicated customer base accustomed to quality and innovation in air distribution products.

Our goal has always been to offer a diverse product line, addressing the every day as well as the unique. We continue in support of this goal today with an extensive product selection and a special focus on clean room, industrial, architectural, and metric marketplaces.

Engineering & Technology

Krueger is recognized as an innovator in specialty products for clean environments and operating room applications. Decades of research and development have resulted in products that receive unparalleled approval from the consulting engineering community year after year.

The Krueger Technology Center personifies our commitment to Excellence in Air Distribution. Extensive product testing ensures that the data you design your projects around is achievable in real world applications. Through the Training Center, we assist design engineers from across the globe in understanding both new and existing technologies; practiced theories of proper air distribution.

Count on Krueger for technical leadership. Krueger is the first air distribution manufacturer to utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as an integral part of product development and demonstration.
